RAC - Cheap Sunglasses

Si on parle souvent de lui, c'est parce qu'il est très dynamique et parce que nous apprécions vraiment ses chansons pop. Comme vous le savez peut-être, RAC a travaillé avec une douzaine d’artistes différents pour son premier album, Strangers. Un chanteur, une chanson. Voici un des titres qu'il a récemment mis sur son soundcloud.

RAC - Tear You Down (ft. Alex Ebert)

On ne le présente plus (mais si vous voulez plus d'infos, c'est ici). RAC a demandé à Alex Ebert d’ajouter sa voix à la chanson pop qu’il a produite récemment. Et c'est vrai que cette piste est très pop, peut-être trop, cela semble trop facile. Quoi qu'il en soit, c’est propre et Tear You Down risque de tomber directement dans votre iPod.

We don't present him anymore (but if you need more info, it's here). RAC has asked Alex Ebert to add his voice to the pop song he has recently produced. And it is true that this track is very pop, maybe too much, it sounds too easy. Anyway, Tear You Down is clean and might go direct into your iPod.

Tokyo Police Club - Hot Tonight

Après quatre ans, Tokyo Police Club est de retour avec leur troisième album intitulé Forcefield. Ce nouvel opus sera disponile le 24 Mars, mais avant, vous pouvez déjà écouter Hot Tonight.

Cela sonne plus pop que ce qu'ils ont fait avant, mais cela reste très agréable. Ils ont peut-être été influencés par leur collaboration avec le RAC. Moins rock mais plus dansant !

After Four years, Tokyo Police Club is back with their third album titled Forcefield. This new opus will be available on March 24 but before, you can already listen to Hot Tonight.

It sounds more pop than what they did before, but it remains very nice. They were maybe influenced by their collaboration with RAC. Less rock but more danceable !

RAC - Simple Kind Of Life (ft. Pink Feathers)

Une petite cover par RAC pour ce vendredi après-midi. On parle habituellement de ses remixes, mais cette fois il a sorti sa version de Simple Kind Of Life, joué à l'origine par No Doubt.

C'est un cadeau pour ses "one million soundcloud followers”... Pas mal ! Plus de morceaux ici !

RAC - Let Go (feat. Kele & MNDR)

C'est une valeur sure, nous aurions presque pu poster la dernière piste de RAC sans l’écouter. Pour une fois, ce n’est pas un remix, mais une vrai chanson.

Sans surprise, c’est frais et groovy. On apprécie également les voix de Kele (Bloc Party) et de MNDR.

En septembre, avec la sortie de leur premier opus, il va alloir faire de la place dans vos IPod.

It’s a reliable value, we could almost have posted the last track of RAC without listening to it. This time, it is not a remix but a real song.

Unsurprisingly, it is fresh and groovy. We enjoy vocals from Kele (Bloc Party) and MDNR. Simple and catchy.In September, with the release of their first opus, you will have to prepare some free space on your Ipod.

Son nouveau remix est en ligne depuis aujourd'hui, et sans surprise, il est excellent. Cette fois-ci, il a modernisé le hit soul You Make Me Feel Mighty Real de 1978 par Sylvester. Meme si ce n'est pas notre remix preféré et que l'original est déja incroyable, le résultat est…disco!

His new remix is online since today, and without any surprise, it is excellent. This time, he modernizes the 1978 hit You Make Me Feel Mighty Real by soul-singer Sylvester. The original song is already crazy, and it is not our favorite remix, but... disco !

Two Door Cinema Club - Next Year (RAC remix)

Et encore un très bon remixe de RAC ! Cette fois-ci c’est Next Year de Two Door Cinema Club qui passe à la moulinette… Le titre extrait du dernier album des anglais, Beacon est revisité de manière plus pépère et plus aérienne. On est une fois de plus impressionné par les talents de remixeurs de RAC.

And again a very good RAC remix! This time it is Two Door Cinema Club’s track Next Year that was elegantly reworked... The track from their latest album, Beacon is revisited, and become more cushy and aerial. It is one more time impressive to see what a great remixer this guy is.

Escort - Starlight (RAC Remix)

Rac a fait du bon boulot en donnant une seconde vie à Starlight, un tube disco du groupe Escort, sortie il y a déjà plusieurs année. On est maintenant habitué aux remixes de qualité du collectif (Remix Artist collective). 

Tout en conservant le coté funky du morceau, il a rajouté une petite touche d’Italo, celle-ci se matérialisant principalement par des arpeggiators bien vintages et des vocals finement retravaillées. Un résultat propre et efficace, comme toujours pour RAC !

RAC made a nice work on the disco track Starlight, originally produced by the band Escort some years ago.  

While maintaining the funky side of this song, he added a touch of Italo. This aspect is mainly materialized by nice and vintage arpeggiators and finely reworked vocals. A neat and elegant result, as always for RAC!

On s’offre un moment détente avec le dernier remix de RAC (Remix Artist Collective). 

Apres le succès de Hollywood, fruit d’une collaboration avec Penguin Prison, ils balancent gratuitement leur version de Grand Rapids, une chanson extraite du dernier album de Princeton, A Remembrance Of Things To Come. Au final les guitares sont généreuses, les voix rêveuses : on savoure. 

On n’est jamais déçu avec eux !

After the success of their last track with Penguin Prison, Hollywood, they give for free their version of Princeton’s Grand Rapids from their recently released album A Remembrance Of Things To Come. Nice guitars, delicate voices: dreamy effects… 

We are never disappointed with them!
