Après trois singles explosifs, The Swiss ont enregistré pour Kitsuné Elouisa, un nouvel EP très disco dans l’âme. On vous avait déjà parlé ici de ce duo formé par Luke Million et Tony Mitolo, deux australiens fans de sons retro-futuristes.

Avec Elouisa, les deux compères ont frappé fort : riffs puissants, synthés rétro, mélodies accrocheuses ; tous les ingrédients sont réunis pour en faire des pistes incontournables dans le style disco! De plus, l’EP contient deux remixes du titre éponyme, retravaillée par Late Nite Tuff Guy et Villa. Le premier rend la piste plus dynamique, tandis que le second tente une rencontre entre Scissor Sisters et Mika…

En bonus, on écoute Connect, une piste instrumentale que le duo a mis en ligne pour annoncer son grand retour quelques jours avant!

After three explosives singles, The Swiss recorded for Kitsuné Elouisa, a real disco new EP in the soul. We had already told you here about this duo formed by TonyMitolo and Luke Million, two Australians fan of retro-futuristic sounds.

With Elouisa, the pair hit hard: powerful riffs, retro synths and catchy melodies; all the ingredients to make essential tracks in the disco style! Moreover, the EP contains two remixes of the title track, reworked by Late Nite Tuff Guy and Villa. The first makes the track more dynamic, while the second tries an encounter between Scissor Sisters and Mika...

Derrière ce drôle de nom se cache la moitié du duo The Swiss (au fait, le groupe est australien). Ainsi, comme vous pouvez l’imaginez, Luke Million fait dans l’Italo Disco. A l’écoute de sa dernière chanson Ice Ice Arnie (Cool Party), on voit qu’il vit encore dans les 80’s. Claviers, beats, voix, tout y est. Fan de vocodeur, on ne peut qu’adorer son remix de Disco Dictator qui porte d’ailleurs très bien son nom.

Behind this name, there is half of the duo The Swiss (indeed, they are Australian). So, as you can imagine, Luke Million plays Italo Disco music. This guy is still living in the 80’s, as you can see with his last track, Ice Ice Arnie (Cool Party). Keyboards, beats, voices, everything is here. Vocoder fan, you will definitely love his remix of Disco Dictator.

The Swiss - Double or Nothing

 On vous avais déjà parlé de la nouvelle vague d'artistes australiens comme Cut copy, Empire of the Sun, Strange talk et compagnie qui mettent petit à petit la main sur le monde.

C'est à The Swiss de mettre une pierre à cet édifice. Revenant d'une tournée aux US et en Europe où ils ont sillonnés les clubs les plus branchés, le trio prépare maintenant un EP prévu pour le 23 septembre et un album pour 2012. Il était temps quand on pense que leur dernière bombe, Bubbly Bath, date de 2009!

Dans Double or Nothing, les Australiens mettent une bonne claque au destin. Leur disco retro-futuriste à sonorité héroïque galvaniserait les plus pleutres d'entre nous! Tout ça est bien ficelé, accompagné d'un clip kitsch assez sympa à regarder qui mêle une esthétique à la Tron avec les avatars des 70's et des allégories qui font réfléchir.

On attends l'EP avec impatience!

We've Already talked about this new Australian wave composed of artists like Empire of the Sun, Cut Copy, Strange talk which is slowly but surely conquering the world.

The Swiss is another example... Back from a one year tour in the US and Europe during which they performed in some of the most hip clubs, the trio is now preparing a new EP for September and a full album that will be released in 2012. It is not so early as there last bomb, Bubble Bath, is from 2009!

In double or Nothing, the Australians slap the destiny! there retro-futurist disco with an heroic theme would galvanize the most coward guy! It is well made, with a nice kitsch video which mixes references to Tron and the 70's and some allegories that make us think.

We are looking forward to there new EP!
