Pickpocket! - Uniforms

Pollux From Rio ca vous parle ? Non ? Bon jetez un coup d’œil ici.

Deux anciens du groupe se sont lancés dans un nouveau projet : Pickpocket ! Déjà trois titres disponibles pour ces parisiens, trois morceaux à écouter en boucle.

Le style reste un peu le même, un électro rock limpide et décomplexé. Cependant, dans ces trois pistes, on peut voir une surprenante évolution au niveau du chant, beaucoup plus subtil, travaillé (et uniquement en anglais). Les claviers sont plus présents, peut être moins dansants mais plus mélodiques. Un léger virage électro mis en valeur par une production nickel.

Bref, trois morceaux bien cool !

The singer and the drummer started an interesting new project: Pickpocket ! Three tracks are already available for these Parisians, three songs that you can play over and over.

The style is quite similar, a limpid electro-rock without any complex. However, here, you can see an amazing evolution of the vocals, much more subtle (and only in English). Keyboards are more present, maybe less danceable, but more melodic. A slight electro turn supported by a nice production. 

To sum up, this is cool!

Et voici le premier extrait du prochain EP de nos amis de Pollux From Rio dévoilé aujourd’hui: "A La Nage". 

Les quatre parisiens avaient déjà fait parlés d’eux en 2008 lors de la sortie de Kaléidoscope et de ses titres éléctro rock teintés de son vintage. Depuis, Richard, Quentin et les deux Thomas ont multipliés les concerts à Paris (International, Flèche d’or…) et dans le reste de la France. 

Toujours aussi naïf, dynamique, et New Wave, "A La Nage" est une très bonne mise en bouche avant la release party du 27 mai au Bus Palladium et la sortie de l’EP prévu le 6 juin. Tout comme "O", ce dernier titre est chanté en français, ce qui est malheureusement bien trop rare dans ce genre de musique.

On aime, on tape du pied et on attend patiemment la suite...

The four Parisians had already made some noise around them in 2008 with the release of Kaléidoscope and its electro rock songs tinted with vintage sound. Since then, Richard, Quentin and the two Thomas have multiplied concerts in Paris (International, Flèche d’or ...) and in the rest of France. 

Still as naive, dynamic, and New Wave, "A La Nage" is a very good overview before the release party on May 27 at the Bus Palladium and the output of the EP scheduled on June 6. Like "O", this latest track is sung in French, which is unfortunately not often the case in this kind of music. 

We love, we stomp and wait patiently for the following...
