The Pipers est en fait le projet solo d’Aaron Richard Piper, un ancien membre d'un petit groupe anglais, The Notes. Il a sortie quelques morceaux cette année, et un premier EP cet été intitulé Moonlight.
Parmi les quatre chansons indie pop de l’EP, deux ressortent du lot : Moonlight et Field Together, plus sensibles. Avec sa voix lointaine, ses effets sur les guitares, le son de The Pipers reste fortement influencé par le shoegaze et la musique lo-fi.
Début décembre, il a aussi mis en ligne via son bandcamp deux autres chansons, dont la délicate Cold Winds.

The Pipers is actually the project of one guy, Aaron Richard Piper, a former member of the English band The Notes. He released a few tracks this year including an EP this summer entitled Moonlight.
In this Ep, you can find four indie pop tracks but to be honest they are not all as well, Moonlight and Field Together are much more touching. With its faraway voice and its effects on guitars, the sound of The Pipers is strongly influenced by Shoegaze and lo-fi music.
At the beginning of December he released another very nice track via his bandcamp page, its name is Cold Winds.
