Boys Get Hurt is the new sensation discover by Yunizon Rescords. Sand In Hand flirts with pop / electro, while decidedly disco. A nice mixture whose our ears are not insensitive... Kitsuné even proposed him to participate to his last Night Club in Tokyo !
On a ajouté quelques pistes précédentes
ф
Almost one
year ago, we talked about Misun for the first time with Darkroom. Since that
time, the New York based band has been releasing several singles. The last one,
Eli Eli sounds like a vintage pop tune that would be already familiar to you,
even if you listen to it for the first time.
We add bellow some previous tracks that show how wide the universe of
the band is.

After
three explosives singles, The Swiss recorded for KitsunéElouisa, a real disco
new EP in the soul. We had already told you here about this duo formed by TonyMitolo and Luke Million, two Australians fan of retro-futuristic sounds.
With Elouisa,
the pair hit hard: powerful riffs, retro synths and catchy melodies; all the
ingredients to make essential tracks in the disco style! Moreover, the EP
contains two remixes of the title track, reworked by Late Nite Tuff Guy and
Villa. The first makes the track more dynamic, while the second tries an
encounter between Scissor Sisters and Mika... As a bonus, we listen to Connect, an instrumental track that the duo has posted to announced his comeback a few days before!
ф
You may remember the excellent video clip realized by Megaforce for Is Tropical and their song The Greeks. Children who imitated soldiers, who played the terrorists...? We loved it, it was here!
For the last track of the British trio, the child has grown up, has begun an adult and his phantasm has a little bit changed. Megaforce again prepared an original video, slightly sexual, and that is already creating a little buzz.
But Dancing Anymore is also a catchy electro rock song, more pop and lighter than what we used to hear from the band. In a way, these guys confirm their creativity before the release of their second opus, I'm leaving on Kitsune (20th May)
Nickel !

Two nice french electro producers for one record.
One flirts with a disco/funk sound where the groovy bass is not lazy : Le Crayon.
The other has a different style, more melodic, cosmic, futuristic but also a little bit more violent: Pyramid.
Two producers, two genres that blend to perfection in a very good EP for Kitsuné: So Far Gone! Great!
The Aikiu remet le couvert.

Surfing on Soundcloud, we were quite excited when we saw that The Aikiu released a new EP! Actually their track, The Red Kiss was a nice melancholic and new wave anthem. Thus we had a pretty positive feeling before listening to Pieces of Gold, his last EP.
To be honest, we are a little bit disappointed. In fact, his music sounds good, his way to sing like Robert Smith is delightful but the EP's A side, Pieces of Gold sounds a bit soppy... We preferred Somehow that looks a little bit more like a Cold-Wave song (despite lengths) or Barbarella the instrumental B-side.

Dublin can be proud to let us discover this nice band: The Cast of Cheers.
Not a long time ago, the Irish band appeared on the famous last Kitsune compilations with Goose. Their post punk / math rock make us think about Foals’ first songs and it’s almost impossible to find their songs on internet!
Family should be the first track of their forthcoming album is due for next year. You may hear from them very soon…

We've just heard about it, We Have Band will release a new record at the beginning of next year! Just to remind you: WHB is a do it yourself trio living in London that is in love with samplers, eletro xylophones and electric guitares. They have already released a full of energy LP in 2010, WHB WHB. Some of its tracks were particularly efficient and pleasant (Divisive, You came out...).
The name of the record will be Visionary, as their first single. It differs from the 2010 album's rythmic as it is more intimate and melancholic. Anyway, the main characteristics of the band are here: vaporous and kaledioscopic samples with this particular mix of voices.
Listening to the song, it is obvious that the band evolved. We will have to wait til next January to see how far!

After CSS, The Bresilian did it again. On the 19th, Database, a major player on the Latin electro scene releasesa well-named EP: New Disco. Only a minimix is currently available but it looks quite good: Club sounds are mixed with groovy vintage samples. There is everything we need to dance!
To help you to wait til the D day, here is their last remix: it is from the last release of Mark Ronson, deliciously retro, with crazy techno over that. Your head will shake. They definitely now hoiw to get mad on the other side of the Atlantique!
#20/09/2011: The EP is out from yesterday and you can listen to it at the bottom of the article. We are a bit disapointed...

On the menu today: a not very recent track (march 2011) but it's nice, it's hot, so let's be crazy.
Jupiter is based in Paris. However, it's in London that the duo met, on an empty dancefloor, between two hits a little too retro. Today signed on the Kitsuné Label, since some time, this couple gives us some good electro-pop vibes. While they are actively working on their first album, they let's us wait with a japanese style title, Saké, presents on the last Kitsuné Parisien compilation and on a new EP with a lot of remixes (from Para One, In Flagranti or Electricity). This disco-pop hymn transports us in a real 70's musical flashback, very present in this retro-nippon clip directed by the design studio Tu Sais Qui.
