Une bonne découverte aujourd’hui avec Mondrian, un groupe français basé à Paris. Au début de l’année, ils ont sorti un nouvelle EP, Flood of Kool. Ce n’est pas leur premier essai, puisque que le groupe a déjà enregistré deux EP de qualité auparavant.
Il y a vraiment de l’élégance dans leur musique, on dirait que chaque note a été minutieusement réfléchi. Pas trop rêveuses, ces six pistes coulent tranquillement mais on regrettera presque un manque de violence et d’urgence. Cela reste vraiment excellent et séduira les fans de Belle & Sebastian ou Shout out Louds sans problème.

Nice discovery today with Mondrian, a French band based in Paris. At the beginning of the month, they released a new EP, Flood of Kool. This is not their first try, the pop band already released two EP.
There is elegancy in their sound, it seems that each notes played is thought. Not too dreamy, these six tracks flows with tranquility but we may regret a lack of violence and urgence. Anyway, it remains an excellent EP, and Belle & Sebastian or Shout out Louds fans will enjoy Mondrian!
