Seppuku - Permanent Real Delicate

Quelque chose de plus expérimentale avec Seppuku ! Originaire de Knoxville, Seppuku est le projet post punk d’Adam Cottle et il vient juste de sortir Permanent Real Delicate, son premier EP chez Dracula Horse.

C’est difficile de trouver de la cohésion entre ses 6 morceaux. Parfois très bruyant, parfois plus mélancolique, chaque chanson a sa propre personnalité. Evaporating Rain et ses échos semblent venir d’un autre univers, l’imprononçable et sombre 0I08T001 est saisissant…

Dans un genre complètement différent, Adam Cottle enregistre aussi des trucs plus électro sous le nom d’Arrete. Qui sait, vous pourriez peut être en entendre parler très bientôt sur Vocododo.

Ce n’est pas le coup de foudre dès la première écoute, mais plus vous écoutez Seppuku, plus vous l’aimez.

It’s difficult to find cohesion between all this 6 tracks. Sometimes noisy, sometimes melancholic, each song has its own personality. Evaporating Rain and its echoes seem to come from another universe, the unpronounceable and dark 0I08T001 is seizing…

In a completely different style, Adam Cottle is also recording electronic stuff under the name of Arrete. Who knows, you may hear about him very soon on Vocododo.

It’s not love at first sight but, the more you listen to Seppuku, the more you like it.

Birds Escape - Birds Escape EP

C'est pas dans nos habitudes de poster de la musique de plus de 6 mois sur Vocododo mais on  pas résisté au plaisir de vous faire découvrir Birds Escape. Les 5 messins jouent une musique electro-pop dans laquelle il proposent des bons beats retros et ouvrent avec doigté la vanne à synthés.

Ils l'affirment fièrement, pas d'ordinateurs dans leur compos, tout est fait à la main dans leur premier EP explosif. On aime particulièrement la voix de la chanteuse, Lily qui a quelque chose en plus, une petite touche rauque qui ajoute du caractère.

On a juste deux regrets, qu'ils ne s'aventurent pas à Paris pour le moment et qu'ils ne s'essayent pas à chanter en français.

Well, we rarely post music that is older than 6 month at Vocododo, but we really wanted to present you Birds Escape. The 5 guys from Metz, France, play a cool electro-pop music where they propose retro beats and gently open the synthesizer valve. 

They proudly claim it, there is no computer in their tracks, everything is hand-made in their explosive first record. What we particularly enjoy is the singer's voice, Lily, that brings something different to the project, an authentic hoarse touch. 

We only regret two things: that they are not planning to come to Paris for the moment and that they are not singing in French.

Les projets dream pop poussent comme des champignons en ce moment et on ne va pas s’en plaindre.

Orca Orca est le projet solo de Jim Hewitt. Sa première réalisation, Change of Pace 7” est disponible gratuitement sur son bandcamp, tout comme ces deux nouveaux titres.

Avant Orca Orca, il avait monté Young Minds, un autre groupe qui sonnait un peu plus lo-fi. La guitare prend le rôle principal avec la batterie qui conduit littéralement la mélodie dans Change of Pace. Avec When The Sun Comes Up, c’est la même recette en plus aérien. 

Et pour Qualms? On peut dire que le son de ces deux amis est légèrement plus électronique et peut être plus mélancolique. Vous pouvez aussi écouter Denial Isle, leur dernier single pour leur futur LP.

Dream Pop projects are emerging every day at the moment, and we’re not going to complain.

Orca Orca is the solo project of Jim Hewitt. You may find his first release Change of Pace 7” for free download at his bandcamp page as these two new songs.

Before Orca Orca, he had set up Young Minds, another band which was sounding a little bit more lo-fi. Guitars are taking the main role and Drums in Change of Pace are really driving the melody. With When The Sun Comes Up, it’s the same recipe!

Swiss Lips - U Got The Power

Pop, Disco, Hip Hop et Dance, sont les mots pour définir leur lumineuse musique. Swiss Lips vous fera danser avec ses mélodies accrocheuses.

Depuis le mois dernier, on peut trouver leurs trois premiers morceaux en ligne sur soundcloud. Plein de dynamisme, ces chansons sont toutes excellentes, le chant est très présent et on ressent bien les influences funk et disco. On ne sait pas beaucoup de chose au sujet de Swiss Lips, à part que le groupe est de Manchester, mais on va les suivre. 

Il y a aussi un très bon clip pour U Got The Power. Fabriquée à partir de veilles images vintages tirées de films musicaux des années 80 comme Beat Street, cette vidéo montre très bien l’ambiance joviale qui émerge de leur son. 

Et ce n’est que le début, maintenant on attend l’EP !

Pop, Disco, Hip Hop and Dance, these are the words to define their shiny music. Swiss Lips will make you dance with its catchy melodies.

Since last Month, we may find their three first tracks online on their soundcloud. Full of dynamism, these songs are all nice, the voice is very present and we can feel the influence of funk and disco music. We do not know much about Swiss Lips, apart that the band is from Manchester, but we will follow them. 

There is also a very good video clip for U Got The Power. They took some vintage pictures from old 80’s musical film such as Beat Street to create their own little world. 

And it’s just the beginning, now we are waiting for an EP!

The Fiction - My Dear

Australie, trois garçons, ils sont The Fiction. Moktar, James et Daniel jouent ensemble depuis un peu plus d’un an, en faisant du post punk assez efficace. Ils ont déjà sortis deux EP et ne se prennent pas vraiment la tête! 

Il y a quelques mois, The Fiction a mis en ligne une vidéo pour ce qui est probablement leur meilleure chanson, My Dear. La voix est sombre, et on aime la bass grondeuse. On devine facilement que Joy Division est l’une de leurs principales influences. Le son de la batterie est très proche de celui de Disorder. La piste et sa dynamique sont sympas mais on a été assez déçu par les autres, souvent trop rugueuses. En téléchargement gratuit ici.

Australia, three guys, they are The Fiction. Moktar, James and Daniel are playing together since the middle of 2010, making post punk and they already released two EP. 

Some months ago, they put online a video for maybe their best song, My Dear. The voice is dark, and we like the rumbling bass. We obviously guess that one of their main influences is Joy Division. The sound of the drums is very close to the one in Disorder. This track and its dynamic are nice but we were a bit disappointed by the others, sometimes too rough. Free download here.

Princess Chelsea, c'est le projet solo de la Neo-Zelandaise de Chelsea Nikkel, membre du groupe The Brunettes et qui vient de sortir une reprise de After The Moment, du dernier album de Craftspells, Your Tomb, dont on vous parlais le mois dernier. Sa Cover nous offre une version plus electro, à la sensibilité exacerbée, un murmure aérien et envoûtant. 

La chanteuse reprends d'autres de titres et propose aussi ses propres compos avec comme mot d'odre de nous captiver, de nous faire voyager avec une malice qui évoque l'univers d'Alice au pays des merveilles. On ne demande que ça...

Il y a peu de temps, on vous présentait Tech Coast dans la catégorie chillwave, C’est le tour de Terracotta Blue. Encore de la côte Est, cet américain sort son premier album quelques mois après un premier EP. Cet opus se nomme simplement Takoma Park, ville de la banlieue de Washington où il habite. 

Onze pistes composent cet album ; vous pouvez y trouver des sons ambient, chillwave et même quelques rythmes hip-hop. Avec son violon, la chanson d’ouverture, Equinox est notre favorite. Parfois, comme sur Antares A, on a presque l’impression d’écouter Boards of Canada.

Not a long time ago, we were presenting you Tech Coast in the chillwave category, this the turn of Terracotta Blue. Again from the US East coast, this guy is releasing his first album, some months after a first EP. The opus is simply named Takoma Park, the city where the artist is living. 

Eleven tracks are composing the album; you may find ambient, chillwave sounds and even some hip-hop rhythms. With its violins, the opening song, Equinox, is our favorite one. Sometimes, as in Antares A, we almost have the impression to listen to Boards of Canada.

Eight Bit Tiger - Parallel Synchronized Randomness

Erik et Kent Widman sont deux frères qui jouent ensemble depuis 15 ans. D’habitude, sous le nom de Love in October, ils font plus ou moins du rock indie. Récemment, ils ont décidé de rendre leur son plus électro en intro, plus dansant, en introduisant plus d'avantage de claviers et ils ont donc créé un nouveau projet : Eight Bit Tiger.

Ce duo de Chicago a déjà produit plusieurs pistes, mais on vous a sélectionné nos deux favorites pour vous les présenter. Numbers et Our World représentent très bien leur style. La première est peut être la plus connue, avec déjà un clip. La deuxième et aussi dernière chanson du groupe est notre préférée. La ligne de Bass funk est juste top !

Eight Bit Tiger, c’est une histoire de famille.

Erik and Kent Widman are two brothers who are playing together for 15 years. Usually, under the name of Love in October, they are making a kind of indie rock music. Recently, they decided to change their style into electronic dance music and they created another project: Eight Bit Tiger and they also introduced some keyboards.

This duo from Chicago has already produced several tracks, but we selected our two favorite tracks to introduce them to you. Numbers and Our World represent very well their style. The first one is maybe the most famous with already a video clip. The second song and also the last one is our favorite one. The funky bass line is just great here!

Vous connaissez Coming Soon? vous savez, les 7 gars d'Annecy qui mettent toute leur bonne humeur à nous proposer une folk qui reprends les codes américains en y apportant une touche bien française? Et bien deux membres fondateurs du groupe, Ben Lupus et Alex Banjo s'essayent en parallèle à l'electro via Mount Analogue qui a sortis un EP le mois dernier, Crossed Hills.

L'EP couvre des styles de musique assez différents, allant du Dub Step (Woods) à la Dream Pop (Crossed Hills) en passant par la musique Lo-Fi. Le fil rouge reste ce qui faisait le succès de Coming Soon: une insouciance, une énergie positive communicative et un chant posé plein de quiétude. 

L'air dans les Alpes est décidément plus pure...

Are you familiar with the French Band Coming Soon? You know, the 7 guys from the Alps who share their good mood and offer a French folk playing on American musical codes? Well, two members of it, Ben Lupus and Alex Banjo are playing electro music via Mount Analogue and released Crossed Hills, their debut EP last month. 

Various types of music are present on the record, from Dub Step (Woods) to Dream Pop (Crossed Hills) or Lo-Fi music. The thread is quite the same as for Coming Soon: insouciance, loads of positive energy and a soft and chilly voice.

D.A.R. - Nuit Américaine

En se baladant sur le net, on est tombé par hasard sur D.A.R, le projet électro de trois jeunes bordelais. Le mois dernier, ils ont mis en ligne sur leur soundcloud une nouvelle piste, Code Aventure. 

Soyons honnêtes, on n’est pas tombé amoureux de cette dernière chanson, mais on a par contre été très agréablement surpris par un morceau un peu plus vieux, Nuit Américaine. Il y a un peu de TTC ici, les voix sont kitchs, les textes sont vifs et restent en tête : « T’as le boule qui clack et moi je kiff tes bottes, Avec ton cul de black pour une blanche t’es hot ». 

Bref, c’est gavé bien et désinvolte. Le titre est puissant et très rythmé. Vous devriez apprécier aussi le synthé vintage utilisé dans le refrain de Nuit Américaine, la texture du clavier pourrait vous rappeler le refrain de l’excellent Living On Video, un vieux titre italo de Trans X. 

On essaye de résumer ça en un mot : Ridicool!

By surfing the internet, we discovered D.A.R., a young electro project from Bordeaux, in the South of France. Last month they put on line on their soundcloud a new track, Code Aventure. 

Let’s be honest, we didn’t fall in love with this last track, but we were very surprised by an older one: Nuit Américaine (American night). There is something of TTC here, voices are kitsch and lyrics are keen, it’s easy to remember it. « T’as le boule qui clack et moi je kiff tes bottes, Avec ton cul de black pour une blanche t’es hot ». (No translation). 

Even If you don’t speak French, you may enjoy the powerful beats and the deep sound. The vintage synth used in the chorus is very nice and its texture may remind you Living On Video an old crazy Italo song of Trans X and its chorus. 

We try to sum up in one word: Ridicool!

Girls Names - Black Saturday

Plus tôt dans l’année, vous aviez peut être entendu parler de Girls Names, et de leur premier album, Dead To Me. Originaire de Belfast, le trio revient avec une chanson intitulée Black Saturday. 

Cathal, Neil et Calire forment donc ce petit groupe en janvier 2009 et créaient des airs pop pour leurs chansons. Dans cette chanson, le tambourin donne un aspect un peu psychédélique à leur son vintage. Black Saturday, sans briller par son originalité est un bon morceau de quiétude et sa simplicité est relaxante. La voix du chanteur est sombre, et on aime leur sens de la mélodie comme certains groupes pop du milieu des années 80 avaient. 

Et si vous ne vous souvenez pas à quoi ressemblait le dernier opus de Girls Names, jetez un coup d’œil ce lugubre clip tourné pour Bury Me.

Earlier this year, you may have discovered Girls Names, with their first album, Dead To Me. The Belfast based trio is back with a new song called Black Saturday. 

Cathal, Neil and Claire are making poppy tunes since the creation of the band in January 2009. In this song, the tambourine is giving a psychedelic aspect to this vintage pop music. Black Saturday without shining for its originality is nice piece of quietude and its simplicity is relaxing. The voice of the singer is dark and we like their sense of melody as some nice bands were having in the middle of the eighties.

Pat Lok - No Shame

Le premier EP de Pat Lok, DJ Canadien qui sort aujourd'hui chez On the Fruit Record. On vous avait déjà parlé de ce label français à l'occasion de la sortie de l'EP de T&K, Magic Tank, et ce dernier confirme ses bons goûts avec l'artiste de Vancouver.

No Shame propose une musique aux accents House marqués, du bon son bien dansant comme on les aime parfois. La musique sait être entraînante mais rester aérienne,délicate pour autant. Si vous préférez des bonnes basses technos, optez pour le remix de Volta Bureau qui contraste vraiment avec l'original... On est moins fans de la voix sur le deuxième titre de l'EP, Yes Game, et on préfère le remix de Bit Funk qui sonne pas mal.

Pensez à jeter un coup d'oeil aussi sur les mixtapes Disco de Pat Lok qui sauront vous faire bouger comme il faut!

Refreshing...

it is the first word that comes to our mind listening to the first Pat Lok EP the first Canadian Dj's EP out today on On The Fruit record. We have already posted about this French label for the T&K EP, Magic Tank, and it confirms its good taste with the artist from Vancouver.

No Shame delivers typical House music with good and soft dancing vibes. It makes us shake but it is not violent at all and remains aerial and delicate. If you prefer Techno basses, listen to the Volta Bureau Remix that has nothing to do with the orginal song.... We don't really liked more than that the voice on the second track of the EP, Yes Game, but the Bit Funk Remix is not bad.

Think about having a look on Pat Lok's mixtapes as well. There is good disco here that will make you move like you need it!

Tech Coast - Stay

On essaye de vous faire planer un peu avec Tech Coast. A l’origine de ce projet, il y a Cooper Rivers, un jeune américain de Philadelphie, sur la côte Est. Cette semaine, il sort son premier EP, Stay.

Très douce, sa musique est composée essentiellement d’harmonieuses et crémeuses nappes de synthé, coupé par quelques samples. Pour nous, la meilleure chanson est de loin It Just Sucks, un nom cinglant pour une piste mélodieuse. Avec cette chillwave, on veut juste essayer de trouver un peu de soleil. On peut dire que dans les autres tracks, les beats sont parfois un peu trop agressif. Qu’importe, téléchargez cet EP gratuitement sur son Soundcloud pour vous faire votre propre avis !

We try to make you dream a little bit with Tech Coast. The father of this new project is Cooper Rivers, a young American fellow from Philadelphia, on the East Coast. This week, he just released his first EP, Stay. 

Very smooth, his music is composed of creamy synths and some samples. For us, the best track is from far away It Just Sucks, a tough name for a melodic song. With this chillwave, you just want to find some sun to listen to it. We may say that in the others tracks, beat are sometimes too aggressive. Anyway, download the EP for free on his Soundclound to check by yourself.

Casiokids - Paris - 18/11/11

On avait toujours rêvé de découvrir ce que donne Casiokids en live. On a donc décidé hier d’aller à leur concert au Petit Bain à Paris. 

Unknown Mortal Orchestra faisait la première partie. Ces trois garçons de Nouvelle Zélande avaient conscience que la majorité des gens était venu pour Casiokids (à part quelques compatriotes). Qu’importe, même s’ils étaient un peu timides, ils jouaient fort. Malheureusement, il semble que personne n’ait pensé à brancher le micro du chanteur… 

Et nos six norvégiens sont apparus. Avec de grands sourires, et une forte complicité, ils ont commencé à jouer leur entrainante musique. Refrain après refrain, les gens étaient de plus en plus excités. Ils échangeaient leurs instruments après presque chaque chansons, montrant qu’ils sont habitués à faire des tournées ensemble pour ravir leurs fans. Empruntant des chansons de chacun des albums jusqu’à l’explosion finale avec Fot I Hose, ils ont conquis le cœur du publique sans trop de peine. 

Aujourd’hui je prends ma première leçon de norvégien !

We had always dreamt to discover how Casiokids sounds like in live, so yesterday, we decided to go to their concert at Le Petit Bain, in Paris. 

Unknown Mortal Orchestra was opening for them. These guys from New Zealand were conscious that most of the people were here for Casiokids. Anyway, even if they were a little bit shy, they were playing loudly. Unfortunately, it seems that no one plugged the singer’s microphone… 

And our six Norwegian guys appeared. With big smiles and a deep complicity they start to play their dynamic music. Chorus after chorus, people were more and more exiting. They were exchanging their instruments after almost each song showing that they are used to toured together to delight their fans. Taking songs from different albums until the final explosion with Fot I Hose, they seduced the audience without any problem.

Wrongkong - Crystal Clear

Plutôt original un groupe de Canadiens vivant à Nuremberg en Allemagne. Il n'y a pas ça qui frappe avec ce groupe, loin de là... Ils se comparent à My bloody Valentine pour le côté hypnotique, à Ladytron pour la côté chilly mais au bout du compte il n'est pas facile de définir la musique de Wrongkong. On pourrait parler d'electro-pop déjanté ou des riffs electros obsédant se mèlent à un bon vieux rock indé. 

Crystal Clear est le premier extrait de leur prochain album, So electric, prévu pour Janvier 2012. Dans le titre, on retrouve l'énergie vitale de la chanteuse de Cyrena, de la musique rock sur laquelle se pose un synthé vintage disco qui s'incrit bien dans l'air du temps et permet de booster le tout aidé par les beats electro. 

La suite en Janvier 2012 donc!

A Canadian band living in Nuremberg, that is quite original! That is not the only striking element about the band at all... They compare themselves to My Bloody Valentines for their Hypnotic music, to Ladytron for the Chilly part but at the end it is difficult to define Wrongkong's music. We can say it is something like crazy electro-pop with obsessing electro riffs and good old rock vibes. 

Crystal Clear is the first release of their next album, So electric, that will be out in January 2012. In this track, we first notice Cyrena's vital energy, the singer of the band. Music is rock instruments mixing with a vintage fashionable disco synthetizers that boosts them with the help of electro beats.

Civil Civic - Rules

Ce n’est pas tous les jours qu’un groupe est fier de sortir un album entièrement instrumental. Rules, le premier opus de Civil Civic vient de paraitre au début du mois. Pas besoin de paroles ici ! 

Pendant les dix titres, le duo australien, un peu déjanté se défoule avec plaisir sur ses instruments. Leur musique est un mix étonnant entre pas mal de genres : Math Rock, Shoeagaze, Post Rock… Difficile de les mettre dans une case. 

On peut les comparer à Ratatat pour leur capacité à exploiter différents sons rock pour recréer leur propre univers. Une chanson comme Grey Nurse racontent presque une histoire. Rules reste tres homogène, même si parfois les pistes s’étirent un peu trop en noise rock.

It’s not so often that a band is proud of releasing an instrumental album. Civil Civic just launched at the beginning of the month their first opus, Rules. No needs of lyrics here! 

Over the ten tracks, this Australian duo, a little crazy lets off steam on their on his instruments. The music is an astonishing mix between many styles: Math Rock, Shoeagaze, Post rock… difficult to put them in a box. 

As I read somewhere else, we may compare them to Ratatat for their capacity to exploit different sounds in order to create their own universe. Some songs, such as Grey Nurse are almost telling stories. Rules is very homogeneous, even if sometimes tracks are too long and a little bit too noisy for our sensitive ears.

Convaire - The New You

On s'est demandé ce qu'on pouvait vous dégoter pour vous mettre le sourire et on a trouvé ça: Convaire a sorti hier The New You, le nouvel EP du quintette Australien. Le groupe de Sydney propose une musique multicolore, "synth'happy", aux accents rétros et garages, parfait pour attaquer la semaine. 

Sa musique est à la croisée de pas mal de trucs. Les synthés vintage, apportent une touche 80's indéniable. Ils sont couplés à un son shoegaze et à un chant volontaire et atypique. Tout ça donne une impression assez plaisante d'insouciance et de douce nostalgie mêlées.

Les cinq pistes de l'EP valent le coup d'oreille, de l'euphorique Gate Track ou à First Base en passant par l'intimiste The New You.

We have been wondering what we could find to make you smile and we've found that: Convaire released yesterday The New You, the last EP of the Australian quintet. The band from Sydney delivers a "synth-happy" multicolored music that mixes retro and garage sounds and is perfect to tackle the week. 

Its music is in-between a lot of different stuffs. Vintage synthesizers and shoegaze sounds give an 80's touch while the voice is atypical and enthusiastic. When we listen to the release we have a pleasant feeling of mixed insouciance and soft nostalgia.

Athletes - Fall Apart

On a eu beau chercher, c’est quasiment impossible de trouver quelque chose sur Athletes. D’après leur page Soundcloud, il/elle ou ils sont du Danemark, mais sur leur page Bandcamp, il est écrit qu’ils viennent des Etats Unis…

Qu’importe leurs origines, ils ont mis en ligne trois chansons dans les deux derniers mois, et ont démontré peu à peu leur potentiel. Fall Apart, leur dernier titre, vient de sortir jeudi. Il y a quelque chose de mystique ici, les guitares délicates et les sons aériens du synthé vous bercent doucement. La voix semble être un écho lointain, et murmure «I’m in my dreams, calling for you » dans Nowhere. On aime cette pureté mixé avec une bonne rythmique. 

Ne soyez pas inquiet, c’est pas non plus soporifique ; la dream pop d’Athletes est comme hors du temps !

We searched, we tried to find information, but it’s almost impossible to find something about Athletes. According to the Soundcloud page, he/she or they are from Denmark, but on the Bandcamp page it’s written that this music is from the USA…

Anyway, they produced three songs in the two last months, and they demonstrate little by little there potential. Fall Apart, the last one just came out last Thursday. There is something mystic in this sound, the delicate guitar and the synthesizers gently lull you. The voice which seems to be a distant echo whispers “I’m in my dreams, calling for you” in Nowhere. We like this purity, melts with nice drums beats.

Don’t be afraid, it’s not soporific at all; Athletes’ dream pop music is out of time!

Teen Daze - Winter Sun

Le mois prochain, le 6 décembre, Teen Daze va lancer son propre label avec une compilation gratuite intitulée Cultus Vibes: Together. Il contribue à cette réalisation avec une nouvelle piste, Winter Sun à télécharger gratuitement. 

Teen Daze est un gars discret de Vancouver. Récemment, ces chansons étaient loin d’être violente, on imagine parfaitement Jamison buvant du thé et contemplant le paysage toute la journée sur sa terrasse. Sa dernière piste est heureusement plus dynamique, des gros beats apparaissent rapidement pour notre plus grand plaisir. On regrette un peu le très bon album, My Bedroom Floor. 

On a parlé il y a quelques semaines de Tycho ; Teen Daze essaye d’être son petit frère avec Winter Sun. Il a d’ailleurs fait un remix pour lui il y a peu de temps.

Next month, Teen Daze will launch his own record label with a free compilation entitled Cultus Vibes: Together. He contributes to this realization with a new track, Winter Sun to download for free. 

Teen Daze is a discrete guy from Vancouver; recently his songs were far from violent, we imagine perfectly Jamison drinking a cup of tea and contemplating the landscape all day long. This last track is hopefully more dynamic, nice beats appear quickly for our pleasure. We miss a little bit his nice album, My bedroom Floor. 

We talked about Tycho a few weeks ago; let’s say that Teen Daze try to be his little brother with Winter Sun. By the way he did a remix for him not long ago.

Birdwatchers - Kissing Friends

Tim et Emily, ou M. et Mme O’Neill sont mariés et l’on pourrait croire que ce couple de Seattle a une vie bien calme et ordinaire, mais ils passent leurs temps libres à jouer de la musique ensemble. Birdwatchers est le nom de leur projet. Le mois dernier, avec l’aide de leurs amis, ils ont enregistré leur premier EP, Kissing Friends. 

Ainsi, ils proposent 5 chansons, quatre sont assez sympas mais plutôt ordinaires, et une est vraiment pas mal. Bright Futures passe pour une chanson très optimiste, harmonieuse, qui donne envie de fredonner. La voix est touchante. Les autres pistes souffrent malheureusement d’une production assez médiocre et n’ont pas autant de personnalité que Bright Futures. On ne peut pas dire qu’ils soient surexcités, relaxante, leur music est calme, très pop et paisible. Vous pouvez télécharger leur EP ici.

Tim and Emily, or Mr and Miss O’Neill are married and we may think that this couple from Seattle has a calm and ordinary life, but during their spare time they take pleasure in making music together. Birdwatchers is the name of their project. Last month, with the help of their friends, they record a first EP entitled Kissing Friends. 

So, they propose five tracks, four are nice but quite ordinary but one is excellent. Bright Futures sounds as a very optimistic song, harmonious, that tempts you to hum. The voice is touching. The other tracks suffer of a bad production and they don’t have as much personality as Bright Futures. We can’t say they are excited, relaxing, their music is quiet, very pop and peaceful.
